Camping starter tips.

Face it, every camper was once a beginner,  we all have to learn sometime. Here are some tips for beginner camper. Maybe this information will help you to avoid some painful experiences, and better enjoy your first few camping trips to the great outdoors. A good idea would be, visit a outdoor shop and have a look around what kind of camping equipment and camping gear are on display, there is usually also somebody you can ask.

After this basic orientation make a camping checklist.

Relative to your trip you need different equipment so it makes sense to do a little upfront planning. This way you will also quickly be able to separate things which are critical to your trip and maybe drop other gear which cost money but are not really needed.

Get familiar with your camping gear before you leave.

If you have bought new equipment such as a new tent, lights, cooking equipment and other gear try them out before you start your camping trip. Imagine trying to set up your new tent when it gets dark. This is basically also advisable for any new stuff you buy, try it out when you still have time to go to shop tomorrow and ask.

A very basic is to set up your tent before dark.

At least at this first day make sure to arrive at the campsite early enough to have enough daylight to set up your tent and other equipment set. This will keep trouble away and keep in mind that in the forest it gets dark much earlier.

Plan your food before you leave. This will allow you some time to think about your food you will use, this also wont get you stuck in a food store maybe far from the city, where items are limited and usually more expensive as at your supermarket. If you go on a remote

trekking tour such as into the Himalaya no need to think about outdoor camping food, the trekking tour operator will handle this. Just look at the pictures her this is a trekking and camping tour into the northern Myanmar mountains which are more or less an extension of the Tibet Himalaya.

Think about right clothing.

This could be very important if you go travel in a rather cold environment, make sure that you have enough clothing with you and consider what could you wash on your trip in between. Think about what you need for a swimming trip or a forest and mountain trip, in general don't pack to much.

Is your tent big enough?

The tent should be large to have some air mattresses for a comfortable sleep. Better having a bigger tent as a smaller tent. You should have some space and still can stack clothes or luggage. Even though it's a rather large tent it wont matter because it usually folds down to a small size, unless you are backpacking take a larger tent and enough camping food just to be on the safe side.

Try to make your first outdoor camping trips close to home.

For your first trip consider a campground about within a 2 hour radius from home since if anything happen you can just drive home. Don't forget  to take a flashlights with you and check the batteries. Flashlights are always helpful when its dark. Maybe you take a lantern with you to light up your campsite and and have some light at the picnic table. Small lanterns with small gas tanks cost little and are easy to use, don't forget matches to start them up. A gas cooker could also be useful to prepare your outdoor camping food. Check if there are fire restrictions or burn bans at all. Campfire is banned on most places where a fire could be started easily. Some campground allow open fire and even have firewood for sale, it depends of the environment.

Very important is to check the weather forecast.

If bad weather is predicted do the trip another time. Its not amusing to hear and feel the rain in and out of the tent.

If you go on a campground check the park rules.

It is simply necessary to think about other campers since everyone have other ideas and behaviors, this is also

for noise etc. and after leave your campsite in clean conditions. The are also outdoor travel destinations far away the right way to explore the world is by outdoor adventure tours maybe around are beautiful lake.

- More about tent camping

Plenty of people go on a camping vacation every year, maybe they use the camping ground of a National Park, camp at the beachside, go on a trekking tour and take the camping equipment with them or maybe just sleep in the sleeping bag under open sky on the lakeside.

What about moving into an outdoor adventure camp in the backwoods, jungle or High Mountains, sometimes it only needs on hour drive from home for great camping vacation at the weekend.

Many outdoor trips involve tent camping, means it is really necessary to think twice when you buy your camping tent and equipment, if you plan to stay out in the wilderness a while for real great outdoor adventure tours you might bring a small stove with you, otherwise how to get the fish done you catched with the harpoon you made from the branch? In any case if you go on a tent camping trip check with the local authorities if it is allowed, this is not to make you feel negative but to check if the camp

ground is safe and to make sure no accidents will happen, in particular in a dry summer wildfires are easily ignited. A simple camping gear could look like in that tent camp.

If you rather prefer hikes and backpacking trips without a tent and only with the sleeping bag don't forget a a good isolation mat where you can put your sleeping bag on, otherwise it could get cold out there. Hikes and backpacking trips are probably the best camping vacation if you want to get close to mother nature. When you are out there in a environment you don't know try to find  a good place to sleep, sleeping in a cave could be a good idea, the best might be if the cave is near a lakeside or the sea, you can catch some fish since you will be hungry for sure. This are real camping vacation with cave dwellings, not the made up stuff they show you on the TV screen.
